10 American Landmarks
On Growth Hormones

Bigger is better and no where is that more true than in the good old U.S.A. Landmarks of largess dot nearly every corner of the American landscape and we’ve set out to bring you the very best of the very big.

Here’s 10 American Landmarks on Growth Hormones:

1. Giant Dresser: Highpoint, North Carolina

If you’ve ever wanted a bigger wardrobe, this is just the place. The 85 foot tall, 40 foot wide Highboy chest is an ode to the rich furniture making heritage of Highpoint, North Carolina. Now, where can we find the giant couch?

2. Giant Bat: Louisville, Kentucky

It’s America’s legendary bat, on steroids. Modelled after the Louisville Slugger once used by Babe Ruth, this batty behemoth shoots up a full 6 stories and weighs in at a shoulder crushing 68,000 pounds. Wherever your baseball loyalties lie, this is definitely worth taking a swing at.

3. Giant Peach: Gaffney, South Carolina

Well ain’t this peachy. Perched along I-85, this 65-foot tall genetically modified fruit is actually a water tower holding over 1 million gallons of water. Its construction asserted once and for all that South Carolina (and not Georgia) was the nation’s largest producer of peaches.

4. Giant Snowman: Bethel, Maine

Take over 13,000,000 pounds of snow, stack it 122 feet high, wrap it in a 130 foot long scarf, and you have yourself the world’s largest man with a body temperature below freezing.

5. Giant Beagle: Cottonwood, Idaho

There’s a lot more to Idaho then potatoes and this, the world’s largest Beagle certainly is proof. Part of a B&B, you can shack up inside the giant pup for the night, then bark about it to your friends.

6. Giant Thermometer: Baker, California

When the heat is on, the world’s largest thermometer will definitely let you know about it. Built in commemoration of the hottest day in U.S history, the mercury has a full 134 feet to rise before it ever reaches the top.

7. Giant Peanut Shrine: Ashburn, Georgia

Heading along I-75 through the charming Southern town of Ashburn, Georgia you’ll drive past one of the biggest nuts you’ve ever seen (your crazy mother in law excluded). The peanut’s imposing 33 foot height and 10 foot circumference is enough to make anyone come out of their shell.

8. Giant Horseshoe Crab: Blanchester, Ohio

What’s the best way to reinspire faith in the church? Build a massive horseshoe crab of course. This 68 foot long crustacean makes it home in the parking lot of Blanchester’s Freedom Worship Baptist Church. Scurry inside the beast, and you’ll find room for you and 64 others. We’ll pray for you.

9. Giant Cow: New Salem, North Dakota

Don’t even think about tipping over this bovine behemoth. Salem Sue, the world’s largest cow, stands 38 feet tall and tips the scales at a beefy 12,000lbs. It’s a cow so huge, it’s will mooooove you.

10. Giant Dragon: Caryville Tennessee

Who better to stand guard at a fireworks shop than a fire breathing dragon? On second thought, that sounds like a dangerous combination. While this dragon standing adjacent to the Thunder Mountain Fireworks Factory doesn’t actually breathe fire, its massive presence makes it an imposing force none the less.
