Baton Rouge earned its name because of its positioning on the Istrouma Bluff, which was the first bluff upriver from the Mississippi delta.

The city is the middle ground of South Louisiana cultures and represents many different heritages. It is highly regarded for its great people, its unique food and its lively music, which all combine to make it the ultimate family holiday destination.
