Founded in 1959, the El Paso Museum of Art is a major cultural and educational resource for West Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. The permanent collection of art here includes works from 12th to 18th century Europe, works on paper, contemporary and American art.

4. Magoffin Homestead

For a slice of local history, pay a visit to the Magoffin Homestead, an historic site that is placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Magoffin Home was built in 1875 and is a combination of the local abode style, combined with Greek revival details.

This classic example of Territorial style can be found in downtown El Paso and is definitely worth a visit if you wish to take a journey through the past and uncover what life in El Paso was like a few centuries ago.
